Systems Engineer - SP Scientific

Location: (2) positions are available:
  • Warminster, PA
  • Gardiner, NY

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
FLSA Status: Salaried Exempt

SP Industries is seeking a Systems Engineer with a background in integrating Mechanical, Controls, and Electrical technologies with an emphasis on refrigeration or controlled environments capital equipment.

The ideal Systems Engineer will be able to research, plan, design, and integrate Mechanical, Control, and Electrical systems into a reliable, efficient, cost effective low-temperature refrigeration package; and direct and coordinate the fabrication, installation, operation, and repair of these systems.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess the minimum qualifications cited.

Education, Experience, and Work Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or related field from a four-year college or university.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • PE license preferred.
  • EPA Universal Refrigeration Card a plus.
  • EPA or Refrigeration Certificate a plus.
  • HVAC certification a plus.
  • Refrigeration experience with R404A, R507A, LN2.
  • Heat transfer loop experience from -70 °C to +70 °C preferred.
  • Experience with both direct expansion and flooded refrigeration designs preferred.
  • Work experience within an FDA compliant or ISO quality environment preferred.
  • Work experience in an Engineer-To-Order environment is a plus.
  • Work experience with vacuum systems down to 5 microns is a plus.
  • Must have good structured problem solving skills.
  • Must have good analytical skills.
