Manufacturing Applications Engineer - SP Scienceware: Bel-Art

Location: Wayne, NJ
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
FLSA Status: Salaried Exempt

SP Industries is seeking a Manufacturing Applications Engineer to coordinate all engineering aspects of planning, designing, selecting and integrating production machinery, tools (molds) and equipment for the SP Scienceware product line. A secondary focus will be to provide engineering services to all other areas of the company, as required.

Education, Experience, and Work Skills
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
  • One to two years directly related experience in all aspects of manufacturing engineering and automation.
  • Proven expertise in preparing specifications and the evaluation and selection, programming, installation, startup and troubleshooting of various PLC/HMI systems.
  • Experienced in Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Manufacturing. SolidWorks preferred.
  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret technical specifications and complex electromechanical drawings.
  • Able to write clear concise technical reports, business correspondence, and operating procedures.
  • Able to effectively communicate and present information to individuals and groups of employees, managers, and vendors.
  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret information presented in engineering and plastic manufacturing periodicals, professional journals, and general business correspondence.
  • Able to apply advanced mathematical engineering design and production concepts and methods.
  • Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
